Linda Marie's Story

I call myself the “other” Linda Bowman. My dad was assigned to the EUB Church in 1965 so I attended Vincennes Lincoln HS my junior and senior years only. After graduation, I attended the U of Indy, married, worked as an executive secretary for some high-powered men and gave birth to my first of three daughters in 1977. I’ve been married twice. ed 25 years of boating, camping, fishing, and attempting to enjoy life in general. When my husband retired from General Motors, we moved back to Marion. Grandchildren (4) and great-grandchildren (4) gave us our greatest joy. Then our health began to deteriorate. My husband died in 2020. Life’s been a roller coaster with many “near misses.” But we play the hand we’ve been dealt with every intention of winning. Bitter or better? I choose better.
